| I\'ve been scaring the hell out of myself lately, and so I\'m asking here hoping for some possible ease... (pessimistic btw :-p).... about a week or so ago, i developed like a cold...started with a sore throat, then of course, it dripped down into my chest (the nasty mucus that is), so coughing and hacking, etc etc, fun stuff... no stuffy nose... no fever... nothing like that, just coughing, and hacking... No, im not a smoker, tho maybe a week or so before this began, i smoked 1 cigarette (literally, the first cig ive had in months, i dont smoke).... Well, the congestion cleared up, and the sore throat did at first after like 5 days... The sore throat started back up, and now, it almost feels like my tongue is burning, or something towards the back more so... I go on line, and of course, thrush and other STD\'s start flying at me... So scared to death, i scope it out myself.... I don\'t have that slimey mucus stuff that is said to accompany \"leisons\", hell, i dont even have leisons.... nothing on my tongue, under it, on the sides, on my cheeks, or roof of mouth, gums, nothin that hundreds of pictures ive scared myself with, were demonstrating... I dont have a fever at all, nor is my mouth dry.... rather, my mouth is quite wet still moisurizing my sore throat.... I have, however, noticed my circumvallate papillae appearing bigger than normal, the fact that i can see them bothers me... i looked around online, and i guess they are now enlarged.... and annoying.... Well basically, im scared to death that its like AIDS, or HIV (yes, I\'ve had sex unprotected, and im pretty sure he doesnt have anything, but does anyone really kno if they are tellin the truth.... Anyways, I was tested in january, and am getting tested again as soon as i get time off. I am hoping someone can make me feel a lil less paranoid.... the burning sensation goes away and comes back...cough drops have been my saving grace, cus they kill both sore throat n tongue....Otherwise no lymph node activity, voice is fine (im singin ok aswell :-) ) No sweats or anything.... I take vitamin C, as well as multivitamins once a day - Im on Zoloft, but it shouldnt cause anything... I take tylenol/ibuprofen for the pain.... Anyone help me?
