It has been 7 days now that I have had trouble breathing. I am miserable and uncomfortable. I cannot fill my lungs with air, feeling lightheaded and dizzy. my throat and chest is sore from struggling to catch a breath. I went to the doctor and he prescribed a hypertension med (thought it might be an anxiety attack) I have had these before, but none have ever lasted for more than a couple of hours. The medicine (Innopran) did not work. I also tried an OTC inhaler, did nothing but make my chest burn. I do not have a history of asthma. I am exhausted. in order to breathe my body has been involuntary yawning incessantly. In the past hour, i have probably yawned about 20-30 times. When i was 18 (9years ago) my doctor found a small mass in my throat that was benign. I have never had it looked at since. my doctor did an ekg and chest xray last week and found nothing to be concerned about. I dont know what is going on and am starting to get worried, it is also scary not to be able to breathe.
