My cat has gotten his rabies vaccines, but was supposed to get his 2nd vaccine this week, but hasnt because he has been running a fever due to bad infection. My question is, Can I get rabies from him, because he scratched me???? I understand that he wont get rabies because he is vaccinated, but if the animal that bit him was rabid, could his saliva still carry the rabies virus and pass it on to me????
