Hello Doctor,

My friend has been detected with Lung Cancer, Stage 2. She is a non-smoker and is aged 28. She had been to TATA Memorial Centre, Mumbai wherein the doctors have asked her to undergo a lobectomy then have around 30 sessions of chemotherapy.

She is totally against undergoing either of them. I am very concerned about her health due to this. She has now regular vomiting of blood (which i believe is due to the tumor in the lungs damaging the nerves in that area). Sleeplessness is another concern, which has been addressed by the doctors with sleeping pills.
she is going through this alone and has not informed any one in her family too. It\'s lot of suffering that she is going all alone through and i cannot see it happen in front of my eyes standing doing nothing.

I seek any help you could give me to -
A) help her fight the battle (i am there for her supporting at each stage but can there be any medical help which could aid her)
B)how to make her understand if she is right or wrong in dealing with this medical condition.
C) How to relieve her pain - any exercise regimen you would suggest.

I believe that with a proper diet as well as god rest plan she can prolong her fight. Am i correct. Please advise.

P.S. is there any service that i could avail to get to know She says she wants a happy life ahead and is very very cheerful in interactions with friends and family masquerading the face of pain. Touch wood !
