Your Question
for the past year i have been seeing a specialist as i have a high red blood cell count, i have had five sessions of venesections which brought it down, but it has gone up again,he puts it down to smoking as i have had numerous tests which were all clear, if i can manage to stop smoking how long will it take for my count to go down to a normal reading and is there anything else i can do to help this,i am not on any medication, i am 64 years of age. kind regards carol.
