I REALLY WANT TO STOP THIS MEDICATION. IT CAUSES ME TO HAVE OCCASIONAL GOUT AND OTHER PROBLEMS LIKE LEG CRAMPS AND SUCH. I DO NOT HAVE A CURRENT PCP BUT I WOULD LIKE TO WEAN OFF OF THIS DRUG. I AM A 56 YR OLD FEMALE, OVERWEIGHT, WITH ARTHRITIS. I DO NOT HAVE DIABETES OR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE. I DO NOT TAKE ANY OTHER MEDS. EVERY TIME I ASK A DR TO HELP ME GET OFF OF THIS STUFF THEY TELL ME IT WONT HURT ME. I STARTED TAKING THIS DRUG FOR SWELLING IN THE ANKLES. DOCTORS HAVE TOLD ME I HAVE WEEK VEINS.
