I have a cat at home. Yesterday evening, it started to scream loudly because it was suffering from severe stomach pains. It was also showing some unexpected behaviour, in that, as soon as it touched something, it would jump back as if it had an electrical shock. It would not event allow me to touch it. I took it to the vet doctor and in the process, it bit me on my left hand. I am worried about the bite. Will it cause any trouble like rabies or so? The bite pain can be rated as 7. The cat is still not well and this makes it more doubtful. What should I do? I have not had a tetanus vaccine in the past 21 years, but this is a different case altogether.
